Decor is colourful and interesting.
Hosts friendly and helpful. I recommend.
I was there to attend a wedding. I did not take a car so I did not see much of Clonakilty itself. I think a car is necessary as it is just outside Clonakilty. I did see the sea and beaches from the taxi and they looked nice.

Great town with lots of pride and several fun cultural experiences. The Clonakilty Black Pudding Visitors Center was great. The Clonakilty Distillery is a great tour and tasting experience. The downtown is cute and walkable. The people are kind and it's central to many great communities nearby.

Fab little town, everything is so close together.
Fab little town, everything is so close together. Really wished we'd stayed longer & are already planning a return in the Summer. Didn't eat in any of the restaurants as we only ate in the hotel but the menus of many of the eateries looked great!

Lovely quaint old world charm town.
Lovely quaint old world charm town. Very colourful and clean. Great selection of shops and information of things to see and do in the area. Take the train for a tour around the town for all ages. Lovely location as a base for exploring deeper into west Cork or just relaxing in one of the many beaches in the area. If you get the weather there is no place to beat this part of Ireland.

Love the town.
Love the town. Lots of nice shops, bars, restaurants, cafés and little markets unique to the town and excellent just to browse around. Lots of little cafés, outdoor seating and well spaced public seats where one can sit and watch the world go by. The locals seem very friendly as do the staff in all the shops we visited. Seem to really take care of their visitors. Town is perfect to stroll around, very clean and brightly well decorated shops.
Public toilet centrally located but unfortunately required coins to operate. These days, many people do not carry coins anymore!
One way traffic system through the main street area - not too busy but could be nicer if pedestrianised.
Everything was fabulous. Jean Luc and Ina were kind and gracious hosts. The property is beautiful and quiet with private parking and entrance. Coco the dog and the chickens often come to say hi throughout the day. The drive to Clonakilty is about 10 minutes. You're about 70 minutes from Cork, Kinsale, and Cobh which are easy day trips. I cooked dinner each night in the cottage and the facilities were great. Wifi was also strong. Highly recommend this cottage.
The house was gorgeous, modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast items given by the host were great, and a lovely touch. We traveled for a wedding in Dunmore House and the property was a 2 minute drive away so very handy! We were only down for the weekend but got to see Clonakilty and Inchydoney beach as the house was so close to both. It was a lovely relaxing stay and we wish we could have stayed longer.
Hotel is located directly on the coast, located adjacent to a beautiful sandy bay. Our room had superb views along the coast and out towards the ocean.
Our room and much of the hotel had clearly just been decorated so everything seemed fresh, clean and new. Breakfasts and evening meals were very good, with a good choice and very attentive staff.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
As a first time visitor, it was a delight to find the hotel after a day rambling around West Cork. From the lovely receptionists to greet us, to discovering the beautiful gardens and then to enjoying the high quality food, it was first class all the way . One of the best hotels I have stayed in, either in Ireland or abroad.
Lovely stay at the studio cottage just a few minutes outside Clonakilty. Great location for exploring west cork including inchydoney beach nearby.
Studio is impeccably decorated with everything inside great quality including all the cooking utensils you may need.
Lovely hosts including coco the dog.
Really loved how they have decorated the pods and the outside area, so cute! Great facilities in the pod, its more like a mini apartment with a little kitchenette and a good size private bathroom. Bed was comfy and there was a nice area to sit outside as well. Lovely warm welcome from the host too!
I went there to escape from “normal life” very nice spot, 8 mins from Clonakilty centre.
Paula is lovely and helpful.
The pod is really great if you want something different from a room in a hotel, there is everything you need (shower, microwave, sink, some plates and mugs ect. )
An absolute gem! Perfect location, very private yet super close to Clonakilty. Spotlessly clean. Very cosy. Sarah Jane was amazing and had all little touches throughout the property including a welcome package with local produce. We already can’t wait to come back and stay again!
All the staff are warm and welcoming, rooms lovely, everything fresh and clean. Location is absolutely perfect to explore Clonakilty and wider West Cork. All the memorabilia from local history around the hotel was great. Food was lovely. All in all lovely stay - would go back.
It is more of a hotel than a bed-and-breakfast, although breakfast was included. The food was good. It’s a bar and restaurant downstairs that seems to have a great lunch and dinners too, although we didn’t get a chance to try them.
third year going to the Clonakilty park, fantastic family hotel with everything you need and amazing location. pool is fab, there’s kids pools also, fab playground and indoor play area. great bar staff and lovely food as always.
Nordic Guesthouse is a private house near the centre of Clonakilty. It’s easy to walk into the town centre, for good food and music - for instance, De Barra’s Bar. The hosts are very kind and solicitous.
Very convenient to Clonakilty centre, just about 10 minutes walk. This is a nice annexe with spacious living/dining/kitchen area. It is well equipped, comfortable and very clean. There is free parking.
Loved the property, it’s location and the cleanliness of the hotel. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. Would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Clonakilty and surrounding areas
Hospitality at this hotel is incredible. I felt completely at home, and the staff took the time to answer all my questions. Wonderful experience in a family-run hotel!
