Was visiting a sick relative in the hospital & hotel very convenient for that. Have always been in transit elsewhere so didn't know the town well. So attractive and clean. Very friendly people who readily helped direct or help in other ways. I have relatives who came from Probus and Devonshire so visited both counties from 1946 onwards and think changes by and large sensitive and well carried out. The beauty of the county and rural nature has been largely preserved and if controlled population increase measures are sympathetically controlled, the character of the county ought to be preserved along with its beauty.

A great experience, the renovation work is amazing throughout the hotel! We only stayed there for 1 night but we would have liked to have spend more time.
Comfortable beds, and a great spacious bathroom.
Great breakfast options.
Would be great to have gluten free options in the room service menu.

Bodmin was a really good distance from all the places I wanted to visit and I knew there was road works (till 2024) on the road further south and didn’t want to be stuck on the road whilst on a long drive anyway .

We went to the Eden Project for half a day and enjoyed the biodomes. We spent a day at Lanhydrock House, looking around the house and we walked miles around the estate. We also hired bikes through Saint Piran Cafe (and bike hire shop), the staff were excellent and we loved the 18 mile round trip on the bikes, followed by a drink in the cafe afterwards. We also enjoyed a pizza from Dominos in Bodmin and the best fish and chips from Welcome Stranger in Lanivet, near Bodmin, we would absolutely recommend this place for a fantastic meal!
From the minute you walk into Bodmin jail hotel you are a valued customer, the staff are friendly and attentive and so knowledgeable and passionate about the surroundings..
The hotel is clean and fresh and has been tastefully restored.
Rooms are spacious and so peaceful. The beds are very comfortable.
The food is amazing and the poached eggs Royal for breakfast is the best I have ever had I didn't want it to end.
This is my second stay at the hotel and it was as good as my first.
I will return.
Trevidgeowe Farm is an excellent location for visiting Bodmin and surrounding areas.
A beautiful house where we spent 2 nights in a very spacious Delux King Room. Very comfortable bed, large Ensuite with double walk in shower all beautifully decorated.
Excellant range of continental breakfast including homemade grenola and bread.
Our first choice will be to stay here when we next visit cornwall in the summer.
Emma your hostess will make you most welcome.
Shame alot tof the facilities were still closed but the DreadLock escape rooms and Footgolf were really good.
WE were told that the bar terrace overlooked the lake but the busehes in form tof the terrace had grown so high you could not see the lake.
Arrival reception could have been a little more friendly and helpful and some outside areas aroudn the bar looked a bit scruffy but the lodge was perfect and exceeded expectations.
The property was spotlessly clean, the room was comfortable and had all of the facilities that you would expect of any guest accommodation. It is centrally located in a peaceful development, for access to all of Cornwall’s offerings. Also a short walk, around 20 minutes to Bodmin town centre where you will find plenty of pubs and restaurants. All in all, a great place to stay.
Located short walk from city bus stop, close to amenities and attractions in Bodmin. Appreciated the little extras provided by the host in addition to the usual tea and coffee that are provided by all B&Bs, Guest Houses and hotels. Our host was able to provide help with directions to local attractions which was appreciated.
It was perfect! the cottage is lovingly done up to the last detail it certainly looks to be a labor of love! everything from the fully equipped kitchen, lounge, dining room, bedrooms the books, radios, movies in DVD, smart Tv, artwork everything you would need to settle down relax and explore lovely Cornwall!
The piece and quiet of this cottages location and the thoughtfulness of the host such as the welcome drinks and even treats for our dog that was a nice touch. very clean and tidy cottage ideal for exploring Cornwall and right in centre of bodmin Moor we would definitely stay again when next in Cornwall
Lovely, nicely furnished room with a comfortable bed and private bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Angie was a warm, welcoming host and quite helpful about the area. Bodmin is an interesting Cornish town with several interesting sites and attractions.
The hotel was in a lovely quiet location with spectacular views over the golf course at breakfast. Breakfast was also enjoyable and tasty. Bodmin was a good location with accessibility to everywhere worth visiting. Really enjoyed our stay.
The catering both at breakfast and in the evening is excellent as is the service. Accommodation is compact but we'll designed, modern and very clean. The village is lovely and we'll located for touring the area.
Fantastic concept converting this old jail into a spectacular hotel. Great team, amazing room, great breakfast. I do receive eating in the Chapel restaurant. Expensive, but a great experience
A proper home from home. The cottage had everything we needed. It was all up to date and the bed was lovely. Nice quiet spot within easy reach of destinations throughout Cornwall.
