Easy to find close to the centre of Avallon. The hotel has plenty of car parking on the street at the front of the hotel or in the car park at the rear. We were able to park our motorcycles in their secure garage the first night but not the second as it was full of bicycle. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. Ours came with a terrace and a resident squirrel. The food is very good and well priced. It. Is a short walk into town if you want to enjoy the sights. There is also a very friendly, very big, husky at the hotel called Ashka (not sure about the spelling).

Set on the banks of the River Cousin, this former 12th-century mill is located in Morvan Natural Regional Park. It offers a flowery terrace by the river side.

Former coach house, this hotel is situated in the heart of Vézelay. Well-known in the area, it accommodated the actors in the famous French movie La Grande Vadrouille.

Beautiful hotel at the foot of the road up to Vezelay Abbey. We had a lovey large room with good bathroom and wonderful views overlooking town and countryside. We enjoyed a drink on the terrace.

The Hotel changed of Ownership in April 2024. Set in the national park of Morvan, A La Renommée provides free Wi-Fi internet access, 2 km from the village of Vézelay and 8 km from Bazoches Castle.

I had the most incredible experience staying at À la Renommée Hotel in France. From day one, Laurence and Stéphanie, the lovely owners, made me feel so welcome and were incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. The view from my room was absolutely stunning, and the bedroom itself was cozy and beautifully decorated. I truly felt at home throughout my stay. It’s also worth noting that the hotel is only a 30-minute walk to Vézelay, with breathtaking views along the way, following the pilgrim’s path. It’s a lovely and peaceful walk. A big thank you to Laurence and Stéphanie for making my visit so special. Also, I have to mention that the wine, honey, and fresh truffle they sell are absolutely amazing! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a charming, welcoming, and peaceful getaway.
