Loved the location, the buildings and history was amazing, dinner and breakfast was delicious. It was a rather warm day so we requested a fan which was provided without hesitation.

Set in 18 acres of private parkland, Hetland Hall Hotel serves local produce on its Scottish menu. Overlooking the Solway Firth, this hotel also has an outdoor children’s playground.

The size of the rooms - we had the most comfortable stay without feeling cramped. Loved the views of the sheep in the fields from the bedroom windows.

We had cottage 5 well worth it, it was lovely room big and the bed 🛌 was massive, sitting room and kichette beautiful right opposite the blacksmiths ( where we were married last year 🥰) restaurant and food excellent and all the staff are very personally and friendly 😀

Adjacent to Starbucks, Days Inn Gretna Green is close to the M74 and M6 motorways, and within easy reach of Carlisle. It has unlimited free Wi-Fi and onsite parking.

We received a lovely greeting from the moment we arrived. The staff are professional, and yet friendly. Our room was lovely, with a beautiful ensuite. Dinner & breakfast were outstanding. The bar was busy but still had a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.

Large historic building, very impressive features, but decorated in a modern way. Although it wasn’t a cold November, a wood burning stove was lit in the dining room, giving the room a warm and cosy atmosphere. We had a delicious meal, perfectly cooked. The owner was very friendly and helpful, as soon as we had checked in, he took our luggage to our room without being asked. My husband is disabled but likes to do things himself even if he struggles so this was a huge help. All in all, a lovely overnight stay, I would recommend highly.

This family-run hotel is set in 5 acres of parkland, near the M74 and Gretna Green. It offers spectacular views, real log fires, free Wi-Fi and a restaurant with an excellent local reputation.
