The place is half an hour away from Kyoto Prefecture however, it is the most beautiful place to stay. Away from hustle bustle, amidst the mountains and amazing scenery. I would highly recommend this place to anybody who's travelling for leisure. Bamboo forest is 10 mins away by train. I lived the spa and relaxation as well which is included in the stay.

Wonderful staff and attention to detail. Facility is beautiful, intimate and well designed, a small piece of paradise and zen. The breakfast is an experience in itself, and the restaurant team and management are world class.

The staff are very polite and helpful, best hotel service I've seen since I came to japan. The hotel is located in the best area where you have a view of the river from the cafe. You can go sightseeing in kyoto or to the bamboo forest with 10 mins on foot. You're also near a train station.

The owner was absolutely lovely, but be prepared with a translator app. The room was big and comfortable and good value for money. The only downside was the location…but everything else was fantastic.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff checking in were wonderful and helped us ship our bags and answered all the questions we had. The breakfast was plenty and delicious. The onsen was amazing and beautiful. We also tried the brick baths and those were very relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay here.

I loved this hotel. Decorations, clean, rooms are so big and confortble. Staff always smile and happy. Very big space for Kyoto hotels. It should be 6.star hotel.
