This is just a gem. Super friendly staff. Really cosy rooms. Excellent location (near the station) and to do the Nakasendo trail. And a perfect Onsen. I loved it all.

Amazing place to stay! They only book one group at a time so you have a private residence all to yourself! The inn is nestled in a forest next to a river and waterfall so very picturesque. The best feature though is the Kaiseki meals they prepare just for your group. The chef is trained in french cuisine but made a wonderful japanese dinner for us. I would highly recommend this ryokan if you want an authentic experience in a beautiful setting. The private onsen was also a great feature. They'll also pick you up and take you to your departure point e.g. train station.
