Breakfast or shay on the terrace was incredible. The service was warm and hospitable. We got answers to all our tourism questions and appreciated the assistance to arrange our early morning airport transfer.

We celebrated a special occassion and she gave us an amazing upgrade to a room overlooking the nile and made us "lucky guests of the day" which included afternoon tea for free + the egyptian restaurant gabe us a free cake and live music thanks to Mr Abdulaziz at the kebabgy restaurant! The history, the service, the view all was more than perfect! Thankyou for making Aswan one of our best memories!

This hotel has been absolutely amazing! It’s literally just two minutes from the Abu Simbel Temple — the perfect location. The property is new, beautiful, and spotless, with a stunning infinity pool overlooking the desert and Lake Nasser. Watching the sunset from their terrace is truly magical. The food is delicious and freshly made, but what really makes this place special is the people. The staff are incredibly warm, kind, and attentive. A special thank you to Asma, who greeted me so warmly at reception, organized my airport transfer, planned my morning visit to the temple, and helped with every little request. She was always available, caring, and made sure I felt completely comfortable during my first time in Egypt.

The location is amazing, right on the Nile with a beautiful rooftop to relax on. What truly makes this place special is the owner, Mustafa, and his wife. They make you feel genuinely welcome from the very first moment. Their breakfast is delicious and fairly priced, and you must go on a sunset felucca ride with Mustafa, it’s an unforgettable experience. He also offers motorboat tours; we didn’t have time to try them, which just gives us a good excuse to come back. He can even help arrange your Abu Simbel trip or any other transportation at a very fair price. This spot is a little corner of paradise in beautiful Aswan. Don’t stay in the busy city, come straight to Elephantine Island. You’ll find peace, kindness, and a true escape from the traffic and noise of Egypt.

Situato sulla collina più alta di Aswan, di fronte al Museo Nubiano, l'Hotel Basma offre una vista incantevole sul Nilo, un giardino terrazzato, una piscina con terrazza e la connessione WiFi gratuita... Purtroppo ero solo di passaggio e sono rimasto per poco tempo (arrivo dopo l'ora di cena e partenza al mattino presto del giorno dopo) però la struttura mi ha fatto un'ottima impressione: pulita e ben organizzata in tutto! Addirittura qualche giorno prima del mio arrivo sono stato contatto via whatsapp dalla guest relation manager che si è preoccupata di sapere se avessi eventuali esigenze e che ha curato l'organizzazione della navetta dall'aeroporto. Ho sfruttato il servizio in camera ed è andato tutto alla perfezione. La vista dalla stanza era mozzafiato e la colazione mi è sembrata molto varia. Se dovessi tornare ad Aswan ci tornerei senz'altro e stavolta sfrutterei anche la piscina!

Booking was for my parents celebrating their Ruby Anniversary. Very charming one-night stay in this local guest house. Facilities were clean, host was very hospitable. Location was spot on. Would recommend to anyone traveling to visit Abu Simbel.
