Thank you for this amazing stay ! We got upgraded and the apartment was perfect. Everything was clean and cozy : the little kitchen, the bathroom and the rooms. We warmly recommend this place, and the location was ideal for those who want to visit the north-east of the island the next day. If we ever come back to Iceland, we will definitly come here again !

Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. We arrived when the kitchen was closed, but they brought us tomato soup and fish stew (both dishes were delicious). Breakfast was nice. The place where we went to see the puffins in the morning is 6-7 minutes away by car

Featuring river views, Hjartarstaðir Guesthouse offers accommodation with patio, around 37 km from Gufufoss. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay.... We stayed in the apartment and it was lovely and well-appointed. The little patio area in front was so nice since we were blessed with a beautiful day. Sitting outside with a coffee and watching and listening to the birds in the meadow right outside was delightful. We had been in Bakkagerdi earlier in the evening to view the puffins (1 million stars/10 on that experience) and this was the perfect place to spend the night, since it was less than an hour from there but also gave us a little bit of a head start on our clockwise ring road journey for the next day's travels.

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. Outstandingly friendly staff, lots of space, very clean and modern. The big Windows were a big plus,, we were able to see the northern lights from our bed! The soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel also were good quality. Close to gas station and grocery store. The restaurant was also good, the reindeer ragout was fantastic!

Set in Skjöldólfsstaðir, Hotel Studlagil offers 3-star accommodation with a garden, a restaurant and a bar. The hotel features family rooms. At the hotel, all rooms come with a desk. What didn’t I like…the stay was wonderful at Hotel Studlagil. The staff person was friendly and even shared a lovely conversation with us in the evening. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in this area of Iceland!

The Bank Sleeping Guesthouse in Neskaupstaður features a garden and a shared lounge. This bed and breakfast offers free private parking and a shared kitchen. Perfect relaxing and affordable spot, plus the owner is amazing, definitely highly recommend it 😀😀

A good location for a relaxing stay in Vopnafjörður, Ásbrandsstadir Cottages is a holiday home surrounded by views of the lake. Brilliant little gem of a place! Stayed in the December for a couple of nights. Amazing atmosphere, beautiful canyon with a mountain views. We even got lucky with some northern lights! Comfortable worm cottage, short drive from the nearby village. And just to add for the story, our host Jon managed to receive from us status *An Absolute Legend * digging us from being stuck under a meter of snow morning after the stormy night (completely our fault by not parking the car closer to the road). Thanks Jon once more! 😊👑

This family-run hotel enjoys a countryside location by Road 93, overlooking central Egilsstadir, 2 km away. Free WiFi access in the lobby and garden views can be enjoyed. Enjoyed peaceful surroundings with beautiful forest views right from the windows. The hotel location was fantastic - secluded away from the town but only a short drive away. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable, making for a relaxing experience. Breakfast was excellent, and the dinner options were tasty and satisfying. I would definitely stay again!
