Situated in Akureyri, 34 km from Godafoss Waterfall, K16Apartments has ski-to-door access, parking on-site and rooms with free WiFi access. The facility was kept very clean. Everything was up to date. The location of K16 is very close to the center. No car is needed to explore Akureyri. If you arrive by car, there is a parking place opposite K16. All in all, A++.

Room was big, super clean and comfy. Breakfast was great! View from the hotel (front side) is beautiful. This location is great for exploring the north part of Iceland, around Myvatn lake and part of east part of the island.

The view was incredible; the town itself is one of the most picturesque and the Northern Lights in this location were amazing. The room was quirky and beautiful. Hot tub and sauna were quiet, scenic and utterly relaxing.

Lovely staff and room. Really liked the touch of putting your name on a list on check-in to have a wake up call when the northern lights were active. Amazing views of the northern lights and very good value for money. Breakfast was lovely, great variety, something for everyone.

Even if as an Italian prices in Iceland are quite high for me, I found the price very fair and the service outstanding. Don’t miss your chance to stay at the Básar Guesthouse while on the island. A diamond inside a larger diamond that is Grimsey.
