The property is immaculate and well designed. It was our best Guest house after 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. The staff are welcoming and engaging, the rooms were spotless and spacious with a comfortable bed. The restaurant buffet was fantastic and great value. It has a beautiful swimming pool and is indeed surrounded by nature with bush at your back door . It is in an excellent location. We could not fault this property. It really is a 10 out of 10 and we strongly recommend.

This had to be one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! The location is in a quiet area right on the river, perfect for relaxing but not too far away from the main town. While cooling off in the river you can enjoy the monkeys playing in the trees. The rooms were well maintained and the bed was very comfortable. The thing we will remember the most about this place is the family that runs the hotel. I have never experienced such amazing hospitality. They were incredibly kind and generous. The traditional meals they prepared were outstanding and very flavourful ! They were able to arrange a wonderful safari for us and provided us with transportation to the elephant transit centre. I cannot recommend this place enough and wish we were able to stay longer!

Yohan River is an oasis, beautiful cottages facing a beautiful little lake, with the sounds of dirds and peackoks, food is very good and plentiful, Yohan is an amazing host.

Big room with two AC units. The hotel helped us organize an amazing safari and provided a take away safari breakfast very early in the morning. Good pool and the staff were very friendly and spoke good English. We could choose western or Sri Lankan breakfast.

He arranged everything for us. The safari trip with Janaka, the amazing tour guide, was incredible, the dinner at the cottage was very good, very comfortable and cool. Amazing structure. Don't miss the opportunity to visit him and his wife.

The lodge is excellent, the best quiet environment I had in Sri Lanka, the jacuzzi tub is perfect for a dip after a long safari. The owner and staff are very friendly. The lodge also organized my private safari and my guide, driver Janaka, was excellent. I actually liked my Udawalawe safari better than the one I did in Yala.

We will forever cherish the memories we made at the green paradise cottage! The whole family was so caring and welcoming. They truly represent Sri Lankan hospitality. Our sons played together, laughed, ran, swam in the river although they didn’t speak the same language. They took turns offering to hold our baby to allow us to eat or shower or just get ready. We immediately felt at home. The room was spacious, a crib was provided for our baby, there was an AC and mosquito nets. The garden is so lush and peaceful. The food was delicious (we had both breakfast and dinner here) The safari they organized for us was incredible. The cottage is about 20 min away from the park entry. We saw so many elephants and our guide Pasindu was knowledgeable, drove safely, helped us set up both our kids with their car seats in the jeep, and was genuinely nice. We are so happy we chose to come here instead of way too popular Yala. There weren’t many jeeps and everyone was respectful of the animals, something that was very important to us. We highly recommend staying here and hope we get to one day revisit Sandaru, Yenul and their family ❤️ Thank you for everything Laura and Joseph
