Dating back to 1870, this elegant hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from Trondheim Central Station. It provides luxury spa facilities and 4 restaurants. Wi-Fi is free. The breakfasts were fabulous with so many options. The location of the Hotel was perfect and very convenient to many site-seeing spots I wanted to visit. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The spa was amazing too.

This modern style hostel is your home away from home with an unformal social area, fully equipped guest kitchen, self-servied laundrey facilities and parking garage. The location of this hotel is not in the center, you have to walk up on the hill with luggages, or you can use public transport (I did not), but the view is amazing. It worth it to go up, to see the whole city, bay, sunset and everything. And it’s in a quiet part of Trondheim, but still close to everything. It was about 15-20 min walk to me from the train station to this place with luggages, but I walked slowly to find the correct way, and a few times I stopped to take photos. You can leave your luggage in a storage for free before and after check in, and there were coffee and tea in the kitchen you can use before check in time. I saw a coffee machine, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, fridge, oven… etc, well equiped kitchen. The bathroom was big and clean, the rooms/beds looked the same on the pictures. My program finnished late in the night and I had to left at about 3 am, because of my early flight, so I did not try the bed. I don’t know if it’s comfortable or not, but it looked good and smell fresh and clean. The receptionists I meet there were nice and friendly and helpfull. Anyway I am happy to return here one day and try the bed.

Situated by the Nidelva River in the picturesque Bakklandet district of Trondheim, Scandic Bakklandet offers free WiFi and rooms with flat-screen cable TVs. Excellent breakfast. Good location with view on river and in walking distance to everything relevant. Room was clean. Nice staff. Fast wifi.

Situated in the heart, Quality Hotel Prinsen is a 2-minute walk from Trondheim Square. It offers free WiFi and rooms with flat-screen cable TVs. Trøndelag Theatre is 200 metres away. We had some problem with the heating in our room and we were offered an alternative corner room which has more space! Location is central and is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The basement car park has direct access to the hotel and is super convenient. We were offered a packed breakfast as we need to catch an early flight. It's a great gesture for travellers!
