Offering free WiFi and free on-site bus and car parking, Mohua Motels is located in Takaka. All accommodation offers a patio, fully equipped kitchenette and mountain and garden views. The owners were really interested in their guests, friendly and approachable for any discussion or questions. The location and facilities met our expectations, such that everything was provided to allow us to self cater. Centrally located with the shops and supermarket all within an easy walk. I would recommend people visiting the Takaka area to stay at this motel.

Located in Takaka, 10 minutes' drive from the beach, The Rocks Chalets features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site. Extremely welcoming hosts. The chalet was clean and had all we needed. The laundry service worked smoothly. Nice common areas.

Situated in Pohara, Ratanui Lodge features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy free bikes, a terrace and a bar. We loved our stay at Ratatnui Lodge - the staff was so accommodating to anything and everything we needed. The rooms were very comfortable; outdoor jacuzzi (needed to be cleaned but still nice) and pool area were a great bonus. Included breakfast was amazing and I had the delicious blueberry pancakes both days. Dinner and Bar/Drinks were also exceptional. Location is great for exploring the north and west side of Abel Tasman. We planned to take a water taxi to the east side but the road was closed to due slips (not a problem we did that on our way out from the east side of the park). Room included basics such as tea and coffee - robes included for relaxing. Truly this was one of our favorite places we stayed. Staff helped us coordinate our activities and when we had to cancel one due to the road being out they made sure we got our refund. Amazing stay!!!

Situated in Takaka in the Tasman region, Golden Bay Hideaway features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to an open-air bath. Gorgeous view in a secluded spot. Very close to Abel Tasman for hiking and you can contact the management for a ride to the park so you can hike back to the greenie. The kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfortable and bathroom very clean (a very nice composting toilet setup they've clearly honed in). The outdoor bathtub is a great treat and has hot water. You're a half hour outside Takaka so bring your provisions for the stay and enjoy the view.

Wetland View Park is set in Anatori and features a terrace. With garden views, this accommodation features a balcony. The location was great. The hosts were both welcoming and nice. The highlight of our stay was during the night when we were taken out to see the glow worms, weta and freshwater crayfish. It was interesting and exciting. The accommodation was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and water pressure was good. Heating works well. We explored one of the walking trails within the property which was easy to navigate. We will definitely come back next time.

Pohara Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park offers a variety of beach-side accommodation with free on-site parking. All accommodation offers an outdoor seating area and mountain and garden views. Location right on the beach/bay! Staff helped me out of a tough situation. Very grateful for them 💙
