This charming hotel is in Visby’s medieval town centre, 400 metres from the Destination Gotland Ferry Terminal. It features 13th-century vaulted ceilings, an on-site restaurant and free WiFi. Room was very nice, spacious and tidy. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with great choice and variety.

Hotell Slottsbacken is just a few minutes’ walk from Visby’s main street, Adelsgatan. The breakfast is great, the beds very comfortable, the room has a great atmosphere with a view over the harbour and the location is just perfect. The final thing to point out is that the staff is excellent. One person to mention especially is Sandra in the reception who is a real gem and very professional while still being personal and social.
