Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The receptionist gave us a map and showed us where to find a local market with street food where we had lunch. It was excellent. The walking tour organized by the i centre was very good too and our guide showed us the highlights of Ljubljana over 2hrs, ending with a funicular ride to the castle. We would definitely recommend the Grand Plaza and hope to return one day.

Hotel Cubo is located in the centre of Ljubljana. It offers modern, air-conditioned rooms with free access to Wi-Fi and a flat-screen cable TV and a fine restaurant. Absolutely everything. It was spotlessly clean. The room was enormous. Perfect to spend the day in cos we were both unwell and it was bitterly cold outside. Lots of places to eat within 5 minutes walking distance. Even more within 10 minutes walk. The bathroom had heated flooring and really well presented, however the towels were the star of the show - fluffiest, softest towels ever. Wanted to be wrapped in them forever. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much for any of them. Special mention to Tamara who served us breakfast on a couple of occasions. She was so interesting and interested in us, we could have chatted to her all day.
