Very hospitable host on the premises who showed us where everything was in the house. There was a lovely ancient kitchen and 2 living rooms. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning otherwise we could have stayed longer to enjoy the atmosphere of the old house. It is tastefully decorated and lovingly restored to it's former glory. Well maintained and clean and comfortable.

I really enjoyed chatting with her and appreciated the suggestions she made for sightseeing around town. The room was very clean, had its own private bathroom and air conditioner. Breakfast was awesome and saved me a lot of time and effort in the morning. The location is easily accessible by bicycle and has laundry facilities on-site if you ask. It's right on the edge of town, nestled among farm fields but a stone throw away from restaurants and shops. Night markets and retail shops are within walking distance as well.

ALISHAN HOTEL is located in Xianglin Village, Alishan Township, Chiayi County. It takes about 2.5 hours by car from Chiayi City to reach the Alishan National Scenic Area. The staff was fantastic and frankly the best part of the stay. We had a gluten intolerant traveler and they went above and beyond to create special meals for this person that were gluten free. They were attentive and warm hosts during our travels to Alishan

Quiet area and beautiful -i had an upstairs room which had a beautiful view.
