This is a large old style hotel with a lot of character located the Corniche on the seafront in Alexandria. The location was perfect. The balcony in our room looked out over the harbour. Everywhere we wanted to see in the city was just walking distance away. The facilities in the room, which was spotlessly clean, were excellent, with Wi Fi and a kettle and tea making bits. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Christina who was the customer service lady and really helpful. The breakfast was good and substantial and set us up for the day. All in all, an excellent and an excellent experience.

This is my second time staying at Ithaka Raml Hostel which is becoming like home in Alex for me. Perfect location, walking distance to almost all main attractions. Supermarkets and cafes all around. Great place, lovely decoration, splendid view of the Mediterranean and most of all we enjoyed the great flexibility from the lovely host. Missed the train from Aswan, but the host had no problem pushing our reservation one day, which was really nice.
