Found in an Edwardian building formerly home to the Anchor Line Shipping Company’s headquarters, this city centre aparthotel is inspired by a 1920s ocean liner. With original 1906 features, there are glazed tiles, terrazzo flooring, timber wall-panelling, fireplaces and even the original safes. Staff! Every single one of the staff was so kind and friendly, helpful, fun to chat with and made me feel like I mattered as their guest. The location is perfect, facilities are great and perfect for a week when you want to have the option to cook, clean and just chill.

With a central Glasgow location, The Pipers’ Tryst Hotel is a unique 4-star restaurant with rooms located at The National Piping Centre - the home of Scottish Bagpiping. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout and as a registered charity, all profits go back into teaching the bagpipes within Scotland and locations worldwide. Piper's Tryst has a special charm and coolness factor, that IMHO, can't be matched by a corporate chain hotel or most independent hotels. While it's not modern it has been refurbished. It is comfortable and conveniently located to many excellent restaurants such as Kelp and Ardnamurchan, plus lots of great pubs. The Piper's Tryst has the x-factor. For instance, our room had a large wooden window that you could open enough to jump out if you chose. Which means you can ventilate your room well, unlike most hotel windows that only open a crack or not at all. The bed and pillows were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was simple but of superior quality, fresh cut fruit, porridge and fresh baked rolls, with good jam, not little plastic packets of nondescript jelly. The small bar was fun and though the restaurant was closed I heard it was a hidden gem...next time. Also there happened to be an impromptu band of 8 or 9 young musicians that played Scottish music to everyone's pleasure. And, your stay helps support the National Piping Center, located in the same building. Highly recommended.

The private Auchendennan Farm is within easy reach of the local towns and activities. Cruin, Duck Bay, and the Cameron House Hotel are all walking distance from the cottages. Boturich Castle and Luss are just 5 minutes' drive away. Great location close to the Loch, beautiful farm setting and spacious apartment. Kitchen has everything you might need and bathroom was very spacious, equipped even with a Rowe warmer. Little fireplace felt really cozy.

Within a tree-lined Victorian terrace, this 5-star boutique hotel is located in the fashionable West End, only 30 minutes' drive from Loch Lomond. Its oak-panelled bistro serves fresh, Scottish cuisine and over 300 wines. what a magnificent hotel. every room is different. all have so much character. this old building feels a bit like hogwarts. I am sure some of the stairs moved, and some of the pictures talked. we spend hours roaming around the hotel looking for hidden gems like the reading room and even the gym (not really a gem but it was fun looking for it). breakfast is a bit pricey for what you get but the room and the buffet are beautiful. staff is amazing, funny, smart, nice and professional. I would definitely come back. hopefully soon.
