We stayed here with our family during a two-week road trip around Japan, starting in Tokyo and staying in six different places along the way. Out of all the accommodations we booked, Sundance Resort Naeba was our clear favorite by a huge margin. The unit is incredibly spacious, with a stunning two-story window overlooking the snow-covered mountains. When it snows, it genuinely feels like you’re looking out at a giant snow globe. The apartment had far more space than our family of three needed, featuring a master bedroom on the second floor, another bedroom on the first floor, and two beds in each room. Cleanliness was not an issue at all, the place was spotless. It’s also very well equipped, with a pantry, dining table, heated floors, two toilets (each with its own bathtub), and a laundry room on the first floor. Another highlight was the privacy: the building is divided into north and south wings, with only one unit per floor, making the stay feel very exclusive and peaceful. At night, the resort was wonderfully quiet and serene, likely because we were there at the very start of the ski season, before the crowds arrived and while many nearby businesses were still closed. The staff were exceptional, always friendly, warm, and attentive. They even spoiled my wife with sweets and snacks throughout our stay. As a bonus, our booking included a delightful breakfast each morning. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. It was truly a fantastic and memorable stay Oh yeah there's free parking too for those driving up.

Vicina a combini, ristoranti e supermercati, e a pochi minuti a piedi dal mare. Le camere e le parti comuni erano pulitissime ed in ottime condizioni. Abbiamo soggiornato in tre nella camera familiare ed era enorme. Una menzione speciale alla proprietaria, che, nonostante non parlasse molto bene inglese, con l'aiuto di Google Translate,ci ha consigliato dove mangiare e cosa visitare e ci ha aiutato in tutto. Consigliatissimo!

Beautiful traditional style hotel,great dinner and good location easy walk to train station. Staff were really delightful and easy to communicate with.onsen was clean and well tended to.

I had a wonderful time thanks to the hospitality and amazing support from the hotel owner. He helped me with transfer from the station to the hotel and was incredibly welcoming. The breakfast was very good. I really enjoyed my time.

Yuzawa Grand Hotel is within a 2-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Train Station and the Sake Museum. It offers 3 public baths, a massage service and free parking on site. Beautiful place. Wonderful view.
