The staff are lovely and were always on hand to assist with queries, carrying luggage etc. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, and the bed might be the most comfortable I have ever slept in - like a cloud!

A traditional home situated in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood about 10 minutes away from train station. There’s a communal kitchen and living room for use as well as a private onsen that you can reserve. Hiro, the host, is very accommodating and will provide rides when needed. His English is really good and his sense of humour even better. His knowledge of the area and itinerary suggestions worked very well for us. We’d highly recommend the local izakaya 800m from his place.

Just a short walk from the station, this traditional Japanese guesthouse has everything you could possibly need from comfy beds to clean bathrooms. The owner was really hospitable, friendly, and always considerate of his guests and we had many good and informative conversations together. This was one of the best guesthouses I’ve been to in Japan, and I can’t wait to visit it once more.

Situato a Nikko, a 800 metri da Santuario di Nikko Toshogu, Nikko Nishimachi Club prevede una terrazza, un parcheggio privato gratuito e un ristorante. The Nikko Nishimachi Club a la touto is located within a short walking distance to 4 area Temples/Shrines. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. The hotel offers wonderful private spa access on each floor which can be reserved in advance (there is a nominal spa tax which is paid during checkout). Some free drinks were provided in the room fridge along with some simple snacks (chips/crisps). Bathrobes, pajamas and quality toiletries are also provided. The staff was very courteous and helpful, always using a translation app when needed to ensure a clear understanding. Local cafes and restaurants can have odd hours or closing days, so just be aware. The Indian restaurant above the nearby Lawsons was very good, as well as the crepes in the cafe next door, when open. A visit to the local tourist information center was very helpful. The hotel reimbursed our taxi fees from the train station upon arrival and welcomed us with a glass of wine or juice, which was lovely. They also provided transportation back to the train station after checkout.
