I tend to avoid vacations in Slovakia due to bad past experiences, but this stay pleasantly surprised me. The receptionist was amazing, exceptionally professional, and helpful. If I were the owner of the hotel, I would reward her generously because such excellent staff in hospitality is rare. The breakfast was delicious, with a decent selection, and the dinners served at the Kamzík restaurant were absolutely great. I also have to praise the restaurant staff for being very kind and attentive.

We were staying in the top floor 2 bedroom apartment which was super spacious, with large balcony and superb view of the mountains. Everything is new, fresh and looks stylish. The train tracks and station is near but you really don't hear anything from there. Everything the village offers - restaurants, grocery store, lakefront are within a short walk. While staying here we figured that this location is better than some others across the railway in the "village center" so to speak - less people and cars in direct vicinity. Great cafe behind the hotel.

Surrounded by the High Tatras National Park and set in Tatranská Lomnica Ski Area, Penzión Jesenský offers accommodation with a garden, a terrace, a bike rental and a games room with billiards. Cosy vibes and great location close to the ski slopes. Staff is helpful - we could’t pay for a coffee because we had no cash (sorry once more), and they didn’t charge it.

Located in Štrbské Pleso and surrounded by the High Tatras National Park, Apartmany Panorama 10X-90X offers accommodation in private apartment sets in the Panorama Resort complex. Absolutely loved this apartment. I have to say this one is the best accommodation we have stayed in so far. The apartment was clean and had the most amazing view of the mountains. The details we received before the stay were clear and easy to follow plus had free parking as well. We'll definitely book this one again when we are back in the mountains.
