I think this is one of the most charming hotels I have ever stayed in. The front entrance opens onto a beautiful courtyard with gorgeous flowers hanging everywhere. There was something quite enchanting about the narrow doors and old stone walls, the lovely seating areas dotted inside and out and the stunning river views from the airy dinning room. We all absolutely loved everything about this hotel and we're sorry our stay was so short!

This tasteful little hotel is situated on a quiet side street neat the historic centre of Colonia. As this is small, you can easily walk around from here and see all the sites. The rooms are not very big but offer all necessary amenities and the bedding and cleanliness are excellent. There is a nice inner garden with a small pond/pool with a cascade that provides a lush, soothing background sound. A very special thank you to the great staff that made us feel very much at home. The breakfast was great!

What an amazing, unique boutique hotel. Absolutely beautiful and we had a fabulous stay. A former government official's residence in years gone by, the hotel and room we stayed in was set around an inner courtyard. The decor is stunningly beautiful, traditional, light and airy, with quirky art on the walls and small uruguayan wooden sculptures dotted around and in every room. The breakfast room is a lovely space to relax in each morning and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The bed was large and very comfortable. The staff are very professional and helpful. The location of this hotel is perfect - a 3 minute walk to the old town and to the sea one way, and the same distance to Av. General Flores, one of the main streets in Colonia. There is an abundance of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops on its doorstep. Guests can make use of a swimming pool on a Finca in the countryside which is around 10km away and free transport is provided for this. This experience was one of the highlights of our stay - it was unforgettable!!

There was an issue we had with a booking excursion, and even though it wasn't the Finca Del Sacremento's fault, they made it right for us. The wine tasting and lunch experience was excellent as well, everyone was super nice and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here.
