Hotels near Wilcannia Airport (WIO), White Cliffs

Wilcannia has beautiful sandstone colonial buildings & a old lift bridge from the days it was the largest inland port. There is a coffee shop opposite a park on the river's edge with a playground & public toilets on Reid st. 2 petrol stations and an IGA, eventually there will be a cultural center which is slowly being built. The only downfall is the lack of places to go for dinner, the golf club is the only restaurant in town & surprisingly it is Chinese food, still very yummy though.

The towns people are so warm and friendly, they are happy to share their culture & stories with anyone who wants to listen. Beautiful town with hundreds of sandstone colonial buildings in great condition. The golf club is a great place for a amazing feed & chat with the local community. Wilcannia is well worth a visit!!

About 2km out from the town. Very quiet and secure place to stay in a cabin or your caravan. Would recommend for anyone passing through. Cabin was compact but had everything we needed for 2 people to stay. Very clean and tidy. Would bring our caravan on next trip passing through
