Comfortable cottage, lovely large table in kitchen. Great oven, microwave, hob. Superb views from house. Sheep, birds entertaining us in field next door. Powerful shower. We appreciated collection of books.

Voortrekker is absolutely amazing; a gem in a perfect location. All the apartments have stunning views out to the ocean, they are cosy, private and well appointed. You can tell that the accomodation has been designed and built to a high standard utilizing local materials to perfection. Beaches and walks are close by and the hot tub/sauna is the perfect way to finish a day exploring. Niki and Piet are the most charming, helpful and warm hosts you could wish for - I have already booked my next visit and cannot wait to get back to Shetland and to meet Niki and Piet again

This is an outstanding place to stay. Warm ,clean and stylish. A great deal of thought has gone into making this a superb place to stay. The laundry pod was a godsend- two tumble dryers, washing machine and somewhere to hang washing inside. We loved it! St Ninians Isle with tómbolo and sauna were very close and such a treat! Really great swimming beach.

The property had an amazing view from the kitchen and all the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Amazing bathtub and walk in shower. The TV sitting room with the giant window allowed us to enjoy the sunset and a prismatic available let us admire the birds passing by. The available coffee beans and grinder were an extra very welcomed gift

The drive to the house is spectacular. Getting to go on this drive every single day is something everyone will love. It's beyond amazing.

The location is very good and the house is superb - everything you can think of is there. The hosts are very friendly - Jackie was there to welcome us. Whenever I had a question, I texted Dave and he always answered practically immediately. The house has some great features, such as 'slow cooking' stove (but also electrical / microwave if it needs to go faster), an outside bath with seaview (and privacy) that is just the best I've ever been in.

Braelea cozy - country out building with mezzanine está en Hamnavoe. El alojamiento está a 1,8 km de Meal Beach y ofrece parking privado en el propio alojamiento y wifi gratis. Braelea was exactly what I was looking for. It felt quite isolated but still accessible to the local towns and easy to get to from Sumburgh Airport. The home was extremely clean and comfortable and the owner was so helpful and friendly.

Botaira, Shetland Islands está en Easter Quarff y tiene jardín. El hotel también dispone de wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Botaira was the perfect base for our stay in Shetland. From the outside, it looks a bit like a glorified beach hut but inside it is a really comfortable 2 bedroom cottage. There is a lovely open plan sitting/dining/kitchen area with 2 really comfortable sofas and lovely views over the bay and to the south end of the island of Bressay. The kitchen is very well equipped such that it Is totally possible to self cater (unlike many other supposedly self-catering properties we have stayed at); the bedrooms offer one double bed and either a super-king or two singles. The double room has the same lovely views and a large built in wardrobe with lots of hanging and shelf space. There is a bath with over-bath shower and the water pressure is excellent so the shower is very effective and there was always plentiful very hot water. Botaira is situated at the end of a single track road in a small, very quiet residential area about 10 minutes from Lerwick and provides an excellent base for exploring the Shetlands. There is a lovely sheltered beach in the bay overlooked by the cottage, although there is no direct path, so getting there takes slightly longer than we initially expected; had I remembered my swimming costume I would definitely have been in for a swim.
