Hotel in Horley ( 0.3 miles)
This 4-star sustainability award winner hotel is linked to Gatwick Airport's North Terminal by a short, covered walkway and easy connections via monorail to the South Terminal. A great location with direct access to North Terminal. Beautiful lobby area, spacious rooms with modern facilities and super comfortable beds. We ate lunch in the lobby bar and it was delicious and good value. Friendly service from the blonde (possibly Eastern European) waitress. Eleni (possibly spelt wrong) on the front desk was really friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Perfect location, exactly what I needed. Good value for money. Liked the fact that the sanitary was not under the shower like other places with little space. Room well planned.

In Horley, 5 minutes away from Gatwick Airport, this family-run hotel offers 24-hour airport transfer and a pick-up service at a nominal charge. Holiday parking is available. Great hotel, close to the airport, the room was excellent and the food exquisite
Excellent staff, good sized room and lovely grounds with fields especially for dogs to run off the lead. The food was good and I am sure would be even better if eaten in the dining room rather than our bedroom!
Convenient for one night for an early flight next day. Host ought to heat the place when people are arriving. Due to motorway accident we didn’t get there until 10.30pm and it was freezing cold. Not at all welcoming. Also nothing there to even make a hot cuppa, considering most people stay just a night to get a flight next day, you arent really going to be taking milk with you are you. Bed was comfortable, however as it was so ice cold, it was freezing and obviously we were keen to sleep after an arduous journey and a 3.30am wake up next day. So went to bed in T-shirt leggings and socks! Curtains would also make it more homely and warm (just my opinion) would only stay again if it was warmer months. Just a bit of consideration and thought by the hosts would go a long way.
I loved Horley. Horley had a "personal feel" to it. I loved the fact that the underground went right to Horley. Horley is also close to London Gatwick. You can get to London in around 45-60 minutes yet have the peace-and-calm of the suburb. The people were very friendly. I loved the restaurants, the leisure center, the supermarkets, and the beautiful houses, too!
Owner is clearly not right in the head. Tipped pure household bleach into hot tub and swimming pool which were frothing from the bleach. Dog excrement was around lawn area from owners own dog and was there the whole time we were staying there!! Police called and arrived numerous times over our 3 night stay due to unruly occupants who were threatening other occupiers and owner was oblivious to it all as off her head on drugs and alcohol. Numerous times woken at early hours of morning by other residents. Was told it was a "one off" but apparently not the case as this went on for whole 3 nights!!! We were just too tired to leave plus had already booked to go sightseeing in London on the Sunday and no doubt everywhere booked up asa Bank Holiday so no choice but to stay or loose more money from leaving. Police in end on early hours Bank Holiday Monday gave owner a caution for breach of the peace and would be arrested if she continued! Says another about the place if that's the owner getting that! Avoid this place at all costs what seems nice at first isn't always as it makes out!!!
Nice small local shopping area with good parking, a pub and lots of people hanging out on a Friday evening. There's takeaway pizza, kebabs, fish and chips and Chinese all on a row. There's also at least three convenience stores a green grocer and a post office.
We like the hotel in general for the location ambience and grounds. We do not like being put into attic rooms every time we stay at the hotel. Heat is very noisey or as per this stay AC controls don't work. The room lighting is always very poor i.e. in 216 you either have to all the central lights on or no lights for desk and sitting area.
