Beautiful character, very well equipped, wonderful warm welcoming host; the delicious cob bread! What a treat; beautiful unspoilt village, all rooms overlooked the sheep and fields, high pressure shower, comfortable bed, pretty sitting room, very cosy, and the thoughtfulness in making our stay as easy and beautiful as possible.

Situated just 49 km from Longleat House, Liongate House features accommodation in Ilchester with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as luggage storage space. Great hosts. Very personable. Offered coffee, tea, soda and beer upon arrival. Same are available free in community fridge. Room leaves nothing to want for. Plenty of outlets, good lighting, even built in USB outlets by one side of bed. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Wish I could rate this higher than 10.

This Traditional, Family ran Hotel is set on the main road in the heart of Ilchester, Somerset, with 15 En-suite Bedrooms including a Superking/Twin, Family with Toddler Bunk Beds, Ground Floor and... A beautiful, spacious attic room with an equally roomy bathroom. Everything was spotless, and we appreciated having a small kitchenette. We enjoyed the view from the windows and listened to music drifting in from the neighboring rooms. The staff were very friendly.

I was due to arrive late and in the dark but had rung ahead to check the key scenario and the key safe was right beside the door, the hosts even turned on all the lights so I could identify the property in the dark when I arrived.
