Naples International Airport (NAP) Information
Location and Transport
Naples International Airport is located 3 miles (5 kilometres) northeast of central Naples, in the Capodichino district of the city. It is easily reached either by bus or taxi. The Naples Alibus shuttles between the airport, the city centre and central train station, departing every 20-30 minutes. A taxi will cost EUR 40 and take about 15 minutes.

There is a special ‘capsule’ hotel – the first-ever to open in Italy – inside the airport, and several other hotels within 5 kilometres, in case you need to stay the night before a connecting flight. A free shuttle service is provided by some hotels. Naples is a city that's now on the tourist map. That's not a bad thing per se. It means that areas that might have been down-at-heel a decade ago are now vibrant. Napoli is a city that's been around forever, and there's lots to explore - in the city and surrounding areas. It also has the highest population density of any Italian city (more than double that of Rome!), meaning that the sidewalks and streets are busy and noisy. Don't be put off by it.
