It is a love hotel so you get locked in for your entire stay. Make sure to have all your luggage that you will need for the night with you when you enter! A large room, huge comfortable bed, all nice and clean. Mastercard credit card did not work so make sure you have cash on you to pay.

Lassy Condominium was beautiful, spacious and the hosts were very considerate. There were plenty of amenities for children (aka toys, soft toys, games, 2 baby chairs, and a stepping stool for the basin). Our children loved the place and we found the overall location very homely and comfortable too.

It's a good business hotel. It's simple but very clean. It has a Spa (hot tub), which I enjoyed. It's walking distance from the Higo Ozu Station, which is the closest station from the airport and there is a free bus from the airport to the Higo-Ozu station, but still it is like a 10-15 minute walk. There is no breakfast service but it has a lot convinience store close by and a few restaurants. It's in a very quiet area.

Great location near the train station and stop for the airport shuttle bus. The hotel has an onsen style bath on the first floor. Good range of food at the breakfast buffet. Also nearby are a local supermarket, fast food outlets and convenience stores.

I came for the One Piece statues but I honestly loved the...
I came for the One Piece statues but I honestly loved the entire vibe of Kumamoto. The transit system was easier to navigate than I expected, and locals were very nice in offering to take pictures of us at the statues! I was also really impressed with the Kumamoto revival project details and how they specifically placed the crew members in places that needed aid but were relevant to the character. As we traveled to each statue, I was amazed at how gorgeous Kumamoto was, like a scene out of a Studio Ghibli movie. It was magical and I wished I had planned to stay longer since I couldn't see all the statues.

Yuhoen Fruit Farm to enjoy fruit picking and unlimited serving of fruits picked within an hour. There were Hosui pears, Kyoho and Fuji Minori grapes. Great experience!
Kumamoto castle is a must visit as well as to savour horse sashimi.

Aso area - nicer - with views, countryside and waterfalls.
Accessible only by car so suggest self drive.
Treat places like US where you need to drive everywhere to get stuffs.
