Absolutely magical place, hidden in a mountain valley, surrounded by lush forest. The rooms look directly onto the river and are very generously spaced. Sadly we were only there for one night. Big mistake, it feels like you could spend an eternity there.

We stayed in the new expansion building with private onsen on the balcony. The room was clean, cozy and new. Private onsen with the mountain view was such a treat. It’s in a nice and quiet location. The owner was very kind and friendly. He made sure we were safe and had everything we needed when the worst storm hit Kirishima. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting the area or looking for a relaxing base for visiting the national park and Kagoshima.

This is very close to the airport (if you have a rental car) and is tucked away in a valley all by itself. We had room 7 facing the forest and we really enjoyed our stay. We found the owner to very friendly and we were able to have some good times there chatting with her. This is a simple husband and wife business and is not high end. The onsen is hot, which is great. There’s only about 10 cabins which is nice. It was very peaceful. We used this as a launch pad to other places and onsens in the kirishima area too.

Bihadanoyu Koshikano Onsen asub Kirishimas, 47 km kaugusel Kagoshima Chuo jaamast ja 48 km kaugusel Kagoshima jaamast. Tubades on konditsioneer ja privaatne vannituba. I wish we stayed here longer. This is where we stayed when we arrived from Kagoshima Airport. Absolutely beautiful place with helpful staff. Best breakfast we had in Japan! The onsen in the room was amazing!
