We had a great stay at Sigiriya Chena Villa. The family are so welcoming! We explored the garden with the owner explaining all the plants, vegetables and fruits. We enjoyed a cooking experience making curry and rice which tasted amazing! The hosts went above and beyond with all our requests and we can’t thank them enough. Great experience overall!

It was by far the cleanest and more beautifully decorated room in our 10 day stay in the country.Very close to Sigiriya Rock and basically in the jungle,is located in a very beautiful environment. The sweet old lady with her daughter are very friendly and they made us feel like at home. Breakfast and dinner simple,but tasty.

The family was very welcoming, they helped us plan not just Sigiriya stay but gave us suggestions about our further stay in Sri Lanka. They welcomed us as a part of the family and gave us amazing drinks and breakfast. The beds were also very big and so comfortable so we had the best sleep here.

Manju, his wife Dilla and daughter Tanija (not sure how to spell their names sorry) are warm and welcoming people. The accommodation is clean and spacious. Surrounded by so much beautiful nature. The breakfast was so lovely - plenty of food that we had to ask for a little less the next day. Glad we had a chance to order the home cooked Sri Lankan dinner one night too, it’s one of the best my family have had since we’ve been travelling in Sri Lanka. Also we had an issue with the transport to our next destination and Manju helped us with that instantly. Thank you and best wishes to your family

Costha is the most genuine and kind soul I have met in Sri Lanka. He goes out of his way to make you comfortable at his place and takes you to all the local places in the area. He also used to be a tour guide and safari driver so he has extensive knowledge of Sigiriya and the surrounding places. His family is also super welcoming and his mom cooks the best food. It was an honour to stay with Costha’s place. I really liked how cozy and homey the place felt. There is a dorm room and there is a social bar hangout area, all built by Costha himself. You can really feel the vision and the passion he has for the place.

We were welcomed so warmly it was like comming home. It was out first place in Sri Lanka after a very long travel. Our room was small, but it had everything you need to stay comfortable. It was clean, breakfast was fresh and super tasty. We also enjoyed the pool. You might think it‘s to warm but just hop in and you will love it. The house is surrounded by lush vegetation and we saw tons of animals.

Nethmi‘s Homestay was like a little oasis close to Sigiriya! The rooms were very spacious, super clean and the A/C was working perfectly. Plus the beds were very comfortable. We also really enjoyed the little patio with our own table and chairs in front of our room with view of the nice garden. The host family was adorable and very friendly. They outdid themselves to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They cooked an authentic Sri Lankan dinner for us which was very delicious, just like the breakfast. On our day of departure they even gave us a lift to the bus station. We had a great stay at Nethmi Homestay and would definitely come back! This place will be your best choice in Sigiriya :)

If you want to see the heart of Sri Lanka stay here. The family that runs this room are the most loving and friendly people you'll meet in all of Sri Lanka. We wish we stayed longer to spend more time with them. The food cooked was absolutely spectacular. They have so many beautiful creatures they rescue and care for. What an amazing treat it was to interact with all the animals. The father gave us rides and helped us arrange sightseeing. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower got HOT which was amazing.
