The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make a culinary treat for dinner and breakfast. The pool in the backyard was an unexpected plus. According to Linda, the sunsets should be wonderful from the upstairs balcony, but we got to watch lightning and black clouds roll in which was also very impressive! Could have stayed longer with all the pampering we got!

Probably the best place to spend a night in Lahad Datu as everything was very clean and our host Mr. Teo went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay.
There are several day tours available, e.g. to Kinabatangan river. We didn’t know otherwise would have probably booked with them.
The pool and breakfast were also great and Mr Teo made sure we had good suggestions for the other meals. Great stay overall!

From what we saw, pretty much the only reason to stay in...
From what we saw, pretty much the only reason to stay in Lahad Datu is to catch a plane. We were there about 24 hours which was plenty. The airport is one of the smallest I have ever been to and was hot and crowded, but the plane was on time and got us to Kota Kinabalu.

Borneo Rainforest Lodge accommodation was great. The tour for 2 nights was lovely. We saw the dolphins, food bats, cuckoo and beautiful birds in the morning safari and the fire flies, civet, crocodile, marble cat in the night safari.
