The food and drinks are cheap and tasty. The owners are very kind and helpful. There are lots of fans and places to dry clothing, which is a necessity in Mulu. I'd be very surprised if there is a better spot in Mulu at this price point!! Definitely recommend!

The host Helena and Shania was supportive. The room had 3 single beds. Initially I thought it would be a dormitory type of stay. But they have multiple rooms. It is a budget homestay. They prepare dinner and lunch is you ask for. Prices are at par with Mulu park restaurant.

Otherwise, consider you're in the middle of nowhere and enjoy the peace and the nature rather than worrying about social media :) The whole staff is super, and the shuttle bus to the airport and to the national park is a bit advantage. There is a mini market close to the hotel, but, if you want to have something more to eat than peanuts and chips, go to a supermarket before getting to Mulu
