The location of this homestay is the best part about it. It's a 2 minute walk from the park entrance while still giving you the feel of being outside of the park. They kept power on the whole time so we could still charge things throughout the day and keep the fans on all night. At nights the rooms cooled down and were comfortable. The bathrooms were shared but we were the only people here so it felt private.

It's located just opposite the airport (but no worries there are just few flights during the day, so they don't bother at all). Food was also delicious. This review is based on the situations in a remote place like Mulu. The stay was good. It's about 1-1.5 km from Mulu national park and airport, so it's in walkable location. The host Helena and Shania was supportive. The room had 3 single beds. Initially I thought it would be a dormitory type of stay. But they have multiple rooms. It is a budget homestay. They prepare dinner and lunch is you ask for. Prices are at par with Mulu park restaurant.

Nestled amongst the natural and lush greenery of the rainforests near the border between Malaysia and Brunei, Mulu Marriott Resort is located on Melinau Paku River in Miri. Breakfast is excellent, with a variety of food that I would have never imagined for such a remote location Get your own sim card for the internet and you won't have problems. Otherwise, consider you're in the middle of nowhere and enjoy the peace and the nature rather than worrying about social media :) The whole staff is super, and the shuttle bus to the airport and to the national park is a bit advantage. There is a mini market close to the hotel, but, if you want to have something more to eat than peanuts and chips, go to a supermarket before getting to Mulu
