Everything about the house was great. 4 adults and 3 kids managed to share 4 bedrooms with comfort., especially considering that each had a bathroom. There was even the 5th bathroom on the 1st floor, so drinking beer and not climbing the staircase is possible. Kitchen is especially nice, with lots of space for multiple people cooking. The best bit for me were all the details in the house - felt like the actual owners live in there and leave during the season. Might actually he the case, not sure. Having a pool never hurts and our kids used it daily. And having a garage is also nice when there is sun outside. The garage is quite short - probably 4.5 meters, but our 4.4+ meter long car fit there anyway. Another car was outside while there is space for the 3rd car even. I can’t name any downsides of the house. Wall charger wasn’t working when we were there, but our cars was a plug-in hybrid, so we weren’t dependant on it. Great place to stay!

Amazing place with tons of character and very accommodating hosts. The eclectic and tasteful decor was impressively pulled together and we were discovering little thoughtful details throughout our stay. The property provided piece and comfort, and all our needs were met. The location is a short Uber drive to every destination worth visiting - the Carcavelos beaches, Cascais, Sintra, Lisbon. We wished we had booked a few more days as there was definitely more to explore.

It's a cosy little apartment, very well situated, with a lovely large patio, garden with swimming pool. However, being at the garden level I was surprised at how dark it was during the daytime. The kitchen and bathroom definitely need an upgrade for the price they are asking. Overall, a comfortable place for a short visit.

We did not see much of Carcavelos other than the restaurants near the flat and the beach. Know the area well, but it has changed over the years, and at the beach, during crowded periods, you need to be aware all the time. Very pleasant to take a walk in the am, but way too many people with dogs that do not clean up after their pets.

It's becoming too crowded, and it is no longer safe at night on the beach or the promenade. Prices have gone up a lot in restaurants and cafés, and most of the time, the quality of the food and service doesn't justify it. Another nice place lost to the excess of tourism.
