All dining is on the roof top terrace - dinners are delicious with lots of fresh seafood caught locally. All the usual breakfast foods available plus GREAT pancakes and local doughnuts! All staff absolutely super friendly and helpful. We were met by Luca who hosted us throughout our stay and we were warmly welcomed into the Emerald Bay family. Luca took us out on the boat (dhow) each day to the amazing pristine white sand banks and turquoise warm sea - totally magical and relaxing. Emerald Bay is truly a genuinely special place, out of the tourist hot spots and absolutely in tune with nature and the location. We loved our stay. Thank you to Luca and Raphael for creating the perfect finale to our East African adventure.

Il Pembla Lodge è un resort a basso impatto ambientale, che offre accesso diretto alla spiaggia e bungalow costruiti con barche riciclate e materiali naturali della zona, situati in un'area appartata... The rooms and facilities were much nicer than shown on the pictures. There are beautiful flowers and trees around the bungalows with birds and Bush babies at night and the beach front bar has a fantastic sunset view. The food was excellent and staff were very nice and attentive. There is a well equipped dive shop on site where we organised our diving and snorkelling trips from. We had 6 fantastic days and wished we could have stayed longer.

This is a beautiful property with a great taste in many details, the architect thought about a lot of small details in all parts of the hotel, the views, the mix between African, Arabic, modern, etc, the way rooms are located, the floor in the toilet and the combination with nature, etc. The sunrise and sunset from the hotel are both amazing, the staff is the best the hotel has, they are always looking to help you and Max the owner is always there and looking to help if anything is needed. The food was also very good, they have an amazing chef, specially the Tuna was very fresh and cooked to perfection.
