I had a great welcome from Ken. He couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. When I returned to the hotel in the early evening, he took the time to chat to me and to ensure that I was OK. He knew that I was travelling on my own. My room was lovely, view not spectacular but that is where the hotel is, on a main road.
Breakfast was fine, with a choice of cereals, yogurt and fruit. Sweet cakes, sausages and scrambled eggs. The breakfast room was clean and tidy. It's a sign of the times that everything is paper plates and plastic cutlery.

Went there to visit a park on property next to Ravine Lake, where my Great Aunt & Uncle Crown used to live. Their son donated the land to the city after they passed away & they built Crown Park. We used to stay overnight with them when I was younger on our way to Minnesota to visit my Grandpa. Loved to just sit there & watch the birds, the water flow, & think! Also love the tree lined streets!
