Just 5 minutes' drive from the Las Vegas Strip, this 100% non-smoking hotel offers a nominal round-trip shuttle service fee per person to the adjacent Harry Reid (formerly McCarran) International... Ours was a one night stop before an early flight. The receptionist was very welcoming, the pool refreshing, the room quiet (even though the airport is across the street), bed comfortable and the free breakfast surprisingly generous. And there was a complimentary shuttle to the airport.

The room was great quiet and very comfortable. We had an early flight and caught the complimentary shuttle to the airport. We dropped our rental car off 2 blocks away and walked back to the hotel which took about 5 minutes. Great shower and helpful staff.

Desert Rose Resort is less than 2 blocks from the Las Vegas Strip but avoids a casino atmosphere. It features a spacious, heated outdoor pool surrounded by palm trees. Big spacious room with separate lounge and kitchen. Nice and quiet being off the strip, but only a 5min walk to MGM Grand.

It's definitely not the city that never sleeps but it does stay up late. It's a safe, fun area, but if you're you're a non-smoker, this is not the destination for you. Most of the good shopping is off the strip unless you're into the high-end side.

I thought that all the employees at every casino and hotel was friendly and asked if they could assist me. My friend and I initially felt apprehensive about walking around the downtown area, but we noticed that hotel security and police had everything under control.

Las Vegas is fun, but expensive.
Las Vegas is fun, but expensive. Lots to see and do. I'm not a gambler, however I love to people watch. We saw the Eagles at the Sphere, and it was amazing. I recommend the venue. The band sounded amazing, and brought tears to my eyes. Vegas can be difficult to maneuver a motorized chair. My brother is in one, and he almost ran over a couple people because they don't pay attention, or just rude.
