This is a small but comfortable apartment located in a second floor of a house in East Elmhurst. It is conveniently located close to La Guardia Airport. We used Lyft and it was a $16.00 fare from LGA to the apartment. We were lucky enough to meet the hostess, she was very friendly and we got great suggestions for restaurants around the area and in Astoria, which is not too far from East Elmhurst. She left some goodies for us in the kitchen. The bedrooms are roomy and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom was well supplied with towels and toiletries. The small living room has a sofa that converts to a full size bed, made more comfortable by adding a thick foam pad and bedding’s. We had a great time in New York and we had a very comfortable stay at this apartment. We highly recommend this hostess, she responded quickly to all of our calls or text.

Bardzo fajna lokalizacja.
Bardzo fajna lokalizacja. Zdecydowanie ciszej niż w hotelu na Manhattanie w którym zatrzymałem się na kilka poprzedzających nocy. Bardzo dobry dostęp do metra. 10minut spacerku.

Spacerowaliśmy tylko w okolicy hotelu blisko lotnisku JFK. Duży wybór sklepów. Okolica wyglądała na niebogatą ale było czysto a domy, chodniki i ulice zadbane. Ludzie których mijaliśmy byli mili i życzliwi.

Nie zwiedziłam okolicy bardzo dokładnie, ale dużym zaskoczeniem i plusem dla mnie był fakt że metro w tej części Queens częściowo jeździ nad ziemią. Stacja metra Queensboro Plaza to stary, może nie najpiękniejszy ale robiący wrażenie z zewnątrz budynek z trzema poziomami metra. Świetne połączenie z Manhattanem.

Słyszysz „Queens” – myślisz, że będą kłopoty.
Słyszysz „Queens” – myślisz, że będą kłopoty. Część, w której mieszkaliśmy, graniczy z Manhattanem. To nowoczesna okolica – Long Island City – pełna apartamentowców, restauracji i barów. Im dalej na zachód, tym mroczniej.
