Foinkounta View was so lovely we decided to stay an additional night. It is up the hill from the town, but easy to find using the Google map provided after booking. We did arrive when it was still light out so that helped too. The town is around 10 minutes away and has a nice beach and lots of choices for going out. The hosts were very gracious and provided a very nice, included breakfast which included Bougatsa and Saganaki as well as delicious yogurt and other items. Our room had pool, garden and sea views, was roomy and modern.

Located 180 metres from the famous Foinikounta Beach in Messinia, the white-washed Viva Mare features a swimming pool.

I had a great time there with the welcoming staff that were always friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms are well equipped and they have a degree of finish/polish not common in Greece. The breakfast area has an excellent view. Even though some construction in town limited access to the hotel, the staff went out of their way and offered to give me a ride towards my car and carry my bags. I wish them success in their business.

Really lovely property, spotlessly clean with a sparkling big pool set a little outside Methoni centre with views to the town and sea in distance but walkable if keen and always easy parking in the town. Good location to explore the entire area. Very well equipped for cooking, lovely present of owners own olive oil, a huge fridge, great electronic proper external blinds so a nice dark bedroom. The only thing I would say (and it's clearly not something controllable by the hosts) is that this is probably not the best place for very light sleepers. Even with windows entirely shut and earplugs in I was regularly woken by the regular nighttime large barking dog chorus who set each other off regularly ...but my husband is a deeper sleeper and had much less problem with this.

The breakfast was really great. Plenty of delicious food served at the desired time. The house design is very nice, the beds very comfortable, the beach just across the street. The house staff was very friendly. We really recommend Quinta essential suites.
