The home was spotlessly clean. It is something super nice, when you travel with small kids. Air-conditioning was present in all rooms. The town is small and cosy. It has restaurants, shops and other stuff for shorter or longer stays. And close by the highway.

We'd stayed at Finca El Castillo before (in one of the Cabañas) and had been fascinated by the idea of staying in La Cueva, so we were delighted to find it available for when we would be passing through La Cabrera again. Finca El Castillo is a very chilled, relaxed and friendly place with a nice pool area and plenty of space.  It's great for dogs!  It's a little quirky, but that's what we like about it.  La Cueva is definitely unique, but it's also blissfully cool in hot weather, spacious and very comfortable.  The spa bathroom is magical!  Kitchen facilities are pretty basic, but adequate because you have a menu from which you can order food (including breakfast) that is then delivered to your accomodation where you can enjoy it outside watching the squirrels or inside at the massive baronial-style table.  There's also plenty of parking, the staff are lovely and all in all it's just a really laid-back, easy place to stay.  We'll be back!
