Wonderful views over the bay. We had complete privacy with access to assistance whenever it was needed by Jolene who was extremely helpful and happy. Elia was a fabulous warm caring tour guide with all the local knowledge who coordinated and drove us to experience the waterfall, hot pools and great snorkelling. Brilliant stay!

The cottage is amazing ! Jan is super helpful and friendly. The place is charming and had everything you need to cook, spend rainy days inside playing games, go out in the water. Location is really nice and calm, close to the city. There is even a Veggie garden you can use for mint and basil which were really tasty. Facing the seafront in Naviti Island, Wai Makare Homestay features a private beach area and a garden. The homestay has family rooms. The most amazing tropical island you can think off, welcoming family (Emily, Seru and team were amazing!), nice bonfires, and always kind guests to chat with! We had an amazing time ar Wai Makare! Just be mindful, if you want a luxurious resort with constant internet and electricity and warm water for your shower, this might not be the place for you. However, if you want to enjoy the real Fiji, its Beauty and its kind people… this is the place for you!

Situated in Savusavu, Beachfront Villa - House of Bamboo, Infinity Pool features accommodation with a private pool, a patio and mountain views. House of Bamboo was the perfect place to stay. Located 6km out of Savusavu, along a very pretty seaside road, House of Bamboo was surrounded by beautiful tropical vegetation while still offering stunning views of the sea from its large deck. The house was very comfortable and extremely well equipped so that we had everything we needed for our 8 day stay. The beautiful pool area was a lovely bonus. There was great snorkelling right out in front and we enjoyed the use of the property's snorkelling gear, kayaks and paddleboards. Taxis to nearby Savusavu were cheap and readily available. We were met by our host at the airport and farewelled on departure, and our luggage was carried up and down the 100 steps for us! Meagan and staff could not have been kinder or more helpful - they were absolutely wonderful, and we were very appreciative of that. We all loved our stay at House of Bamboo and would definitely stay here again if we return to Savusavu, which we would also love to do!

Unique experience, living in a village among the community. Unbelievably beautiful beach, reefs and sunsets. Worth the minor challenges of a simple hut, variable food, outhouse and cold showers. Bring a ball or some watercolors to play with all the kids!
