Very nice little house with all amenities including a dishwasher! The location is really great, right next to a 7/11 and 2 mins drive (maybe 10mins walk?) from Katakai beach. Especially at night the area is very quiet and peaceful and even during the daytime not too much traffic passes outside. Kujukuri has all necessary shops and of course the great beach. Just to be sure, to visit the smaller/local/specialty shops early as they close earlier (around 6:00 pm). Some 20 mins away by car you can find Togane and Naruto which are essentially 1 town (or so it seems, I really couldn't tell where one ends and the other starts) with a multitude of shopping venues such as supermarkets, farmers market, Uniqlo, 3(!) big fishing stores within 5 km, a Megadonky as well as lots of restaurants along the main road. Both Naruto and Togane have JR stations. Narita Airport took close to 1.5 hours to reach in the morning as there was lots of traffic, so plan ample of time especially if you have to return a rental car. The house feels very airy and spacious, the beds are comfortable (although low, only slightly elevated) and you have to climb stairs to get to them. The kitchen is fully equipped with ample dishes, pots, pans, knives etc. One of the highlights of the house is the spacious garden with deck and the pool which is really great if it is hot as it is unheated. You can have a barbeque outdoors and even when there is sun or rain you can sit under the pavilion. In a small cabinet a the entrance various cleaning products, dishwasher tabs and house slippers are provided. Before arrival, Aki, the host, provided all necessary information, e.g. key box lock code, recycling/garbage info, etc., as well as grocery store other shopping information and restaurants which was really helpful. Around Kujukuri you can find a lot greenery, (farms, small forests, rice paddies, canals....) and you can really enjoy the peaceful Chiba country side.

Our stay was exceptional — the house was beautiful, super clean, and had everything we needed. The kids loved the playroom! We came during a local 祭り and the friendly neighbors even took time explained it to us, which made the experience special. Some of our group couldn’t come due to Covid, but the host was so understanding and kindly refunded part of the money. Truly above and beyond — we’ll definitely come back!

The villa was a perfect weekend getaway. It had all the facilities and was 3 min walk from the beach. The kitchen was well equipped and the rooms were of very good size.

This guesthouse earns highest ratings! It starts with the owner, who shared useful information upfront. Upon arrival, Kai instructed us extremely well into the house and the facility. The house itself is in mint shape and offers everything for a perfect stay. It’s a very authentic house that let’s one enjoy rural Japan. We couldn’t use the outside facilities due to the weather but could well imagine how cozy the front yard would be during the summer. We will definitely come back to this beautiful retreat. Thanks again for having us!

South Bird Inn si trova a Minamiboso, a 4,8 km da Santuario di Takabe e 13 km da Tateyama Municipal Museum. The location was very good, near the beach. I like the attic view.

Ubicato a Tateyama, a 4,2 km da Tateyama Municipal Museum, Hanashibuki propone una zona spiaggia privata, un parcheggio privato gratuito, una sala comune e una terrazza. We had a great stay at this ryokan with an onsen in the room. The place is a bit off but the view over Tokyo Bay and the accommodation overall was well worth it. We had a one night stay to recharge a bit before jeading to Tokyo for the last leg of the vacation. The syaff was kind and helpful. We did not have dinner here but the breakfast was really good. The communication with the hotel before our stay was also good where the asked for ellergies and some more information ahead of our stay.
