Loved that we were literally only a few steps to the beach front and the cycle/walking path and only a few more to the wetland cycle/walkway in the other direction. A terrific location.

Our host, Gail, provided a very warm welcome and suggestions for hikes, winery visits, restaurants & cafes which we really appreciated. The apartment was spacious, comfortable & well-appointed with a nice terrace. It overlooks a shipyard & a cruise port, but we weren't affected at all by any noise while we were there. It is located in a quiet area of Ahuriri where there are a variety of waterfront restaurants & shops. Napier is just a few minutes away by car. We enjoyed exploring the area, visiting wineries and hiking the trails at Te Mata Peak.

The shower is easily adjusted for height with excellent pressure and ample hot water. It’s located across from the beach and boardwalk. Multiple restaurants within walking distance. Hosts live above and are easily accessible yet unobtrusive. Very comfortable.

Esther and Tom are exceptional hosts and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. They not only picked me up and dropped me off at the bus station but also helped with restaurant reservations. Meet and greet fellow guests with a drink at 5pm was a great way to get to know fellow travellers. The place itself was beautiful and in a perfect location. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in NZ. I could go on and on about just how good this is but go and see for yourself!

I had an exceptional stay in Napier, thanks to the quintessential Kiwi hospitality of Mike and Maree. The delicious breakfast set me up for long, busy days, and their kindness truly made my stay unforgettable. The convenience of transport to and from the airport was an added bonus.
