We recently had an unforgettable stay at John's bungalow in Raiatea, French Polynesia, and we cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, John and his family took exceptional care of us, making our honeymoon truly special. The bungalow itself is a charming, traditional structure with a fantastic terrace that offers stunning views of the ocean. Every morning, we woke up to breathtaking vistas and the soothing sounds of the sea, which made our stay incredibly relaxing. John's hospitality was outstanding. He ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. His mother was especially sweet, going above and beyond by giving us thoughtful gifts to celebrate our honeymoon. Overall, our experience at this bungalow was perfect. The combination of warm hospitality, beautiful accommodation, and the serene location made it a memorable trip. We are already looking forward to our next visit and hope to meet John and his family again in the future!

Quiet and quality air conditioning plus TV. Marie is a wonderful host speaking french Spanish and excellent English. Arranged for our All Rides rental car to be delivered to our door. Free laundry line dried by request was appreciated. At the end of the driveway we bought fresh Bonito from a local's eski for 1500 f, then cooked on induction element and it was delicious.

Perched on a hillside with breathtaking views, this guesthouse offers the perfect setting to relax and soak in the beauty of Raiatea. We arrived at the Apooiti Marina in Raiatea after a week of sailing, we were of course expecting to wait a few minutes, but Cathy, the owner, was already there to meet us. From the moment we got in the car, she made us feel very welcome. When we arrived at the guesthouse, we felt like we were in paradise. The house, surrounded by nature, is tucked away on a hill with breathtaking views. Every room offers a spectacular view. Cathy was simply amazing. Her kindness and generosity made our stay truly special. We arrived just before sunset, and I thought it would be nice to have an apero on the balcony and enjoy the view, but of course, we didn’t have anything to drink. I asked Cathy if we could perhaps buy a beer from her, but she didn’t think she had any. BUT a few minutes later she came back and gave us two beers. This is what I mean by generosity! The house was spotless and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. If you're looking for a peaceful place with a welcoming atmosphere and stunning scenery, Fare Mirimiri is the ideal spot. We would go back in a heartbeat!

This was one of the best accommodations I stayed in. It's an extremely clean, beautiful cozy small house in a really peaceful part of the island. The property itself is amazing with a great pool and amazing view, the owners are very helpful and nice. I would recommend it and would like to come again. Just keep in mind that you need a car or scooter because it's not close to the airport but it's a more interesting area than Uturoa.

Incredible property, easy and private ocean access. Long private beach with large shallow pool in front for swimming. Snorkeling just beyond that. Kayaks provided for paddle to public atol (motu) nearby. Lots of Snorkeling around the motu as well. Owner met us at airport with rental car. Owner gave a book full of local tourism information, restaurant recommendations, etc. She spent an hour with us getting us settled in and oriented. The home is perfectly maintained and spotless clean. Fresh flowers everywhere. Well appointed kitchen, super bathroom with big walk-in shower. Very comfortable bed. A/C works great. This is a great find.

Before arriving I was a bit worried that the lack of air conditioning would make it difficult to sleep right under the roof. But the roof has insulation, which makes a huge difference, there are windows everywhere and there is always a breeze. I slept wonderfully. The bed is very comfortable. The whole house is very cozy and had everything I needed. I loved the semi-outdoor bathroom. The views from the terrace are wonderful throughout the day. Lighting an anti-mosquito coil on the terrace in the early evening kept the mosquitos away. Thierry and his wife were wonderful hosts. While I'm not a dog person, I thought their dogs were adorable. One evening, one of the horses came to investigate my terrace. All in all, I had a wonderfully relaxing stay.

Aia ja terrassiga VILLA DE LA BAIE RAIATEA asub Uturoas. Kodumajutusel on tasuta eraparkla ja ühine köök. You are in the middle of a very-very authentic Raiatea experience. It is like living in paradise. You indeed have a private beach, you have a free kayak, you can kayak to the public motu. BUT NOTE THAT CURRENTS CAN BE TOUGH, so don't try to kayak to the motu in bad weather. We did try, but turned back :) Otherwise, the water is crystal clear, a lot of fishes - basically you book yourself a constant snorkel access here. There is also a shop nearby. Please DO NOTE that this is not a private accomodation - your hosts living nearby should be taken literally, and shared kitchen is not shared with other guests, but with the hosts , a family, who run the place. That is choose this wisely - if you do want privace, this is not your place. If the hosts cook or have dinner outside, you don't want to tell them to do it otherwise. But if you do want a very authentic experience, this is your place. We do not speak French, so besides basic info we did not speak much with our hosts - but if you do speak this language, you will learn a lot from them, I guess they can teach you cook Tahiti / Chinese meals, share a lot of stories about the island etc.
