We’ve had an amazing stay. The owners are very welcoming, they are available via Chat 24/7 and make sure you have everything you need at all times. Premises were clean. The view from the superior suite is absolutely stunning. Immediately next to the hotel there’s a tiny remote beach with a kayak rental. There are some nice restaurants and bars nearby (we loved Aloha!), as well as lots of hiking trails. Snorkelling set can be rented at the hotel. Breakfast was lovely though simple. If ever back in Brazil, we will definitely come back!

This guesthouse is the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing few days on Ilha Grande. Away from the crowds of Abrãao, Ademilson's guesthouse in Araçatiba offers a beautiful escape and immersion into island life. For a very reasonable price you get a room that is clean, well-equipped and has a traditional, rustic feel to it, which suits the surroundings perfectly. The mattresses are particularly comfy - we slept very well every night we were there. Every morning an excellent spread of cheese, meat, bread, fruits, juices and coffee was laid out for us by our excellent host Ademilson. Laid back, friendly and very hospitable, no favour was too big or too small: Ademilson was always happy to help. He gave us many tips about the island, snorkelling masks to use (for free) every day we were there, we also organised a boat trip around the island with his son Daniel. We felt so relaxed and comfortable there than we changed our itinerary and stayed twice as long as we originally planned. Five minutes walk from Ademilson's guesthouse is Araçatibinha beach, where you can snorkel with sea turtles. Right opposite is an equally welcoming family-run restaurant (Aloha) which serves up an affordable and freshly made prato feito for lunch or dinner. Drop-off and pick-up from the pier right by the guesthouse made transport to and from Angra dos Reis very easy.

I spend 4 months in Brazil and Fauna was my favourite place. There is some kind of magic in the air here. The garden is filled with beautiful plants, full of hummingbirds and woodpeckers. Natalia makes everyone feel at home. You start your morning eating the best breakfast, while overlooking the stunning bay of Bananal. There are kayaks, snorkelling gear and supboards available, free of charge. You can spend your days here in the sun, swimming and spotting turtles. Sometimes there are dolphins in the bay. Natalia can help you go anywhere you want on the island. Lagoa Azul, Gruta do Acaia, Praia Lopes Mendez, all within reach. If you are looking for a place to stay on Ilha Grande to have the most perfect island getaway, look no futher then Fauna. You will create memories that will last forever.

Casa de Temporada Ceu e Mar is in a beautiful location, right on the beach and surrounded by nature. The view is amazing. The house is very clean and comes with linen and towels for every guest, WiFi works great, you will have everything you need for your stay. There is also a volleyball field for you to have fun with your loved ones. The hosts are incredibly nice people, very flexible too. If you want to go visit the nearest village you can, they will accompany you by boat for a small price. Overall, highly recommended!

It was a Robinson Crusoe experience, although with airco and wifi. There is not much to do except beach life, scubadiving or trekking though the tropical forest and hills. Owner Luciana (speaks English well) and her staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. Get a room with sea view, it's worth it. You can pay by debit card everywhere on the island. There are no ATM's.

    Lucas & Leticia the owners really look after you. As it’s a small family business you get the extra touch of service which is nice. Location is great as it’s in its own part of the beach and you get to see the sunsets. Good location to connection from tours around the islands and back to the mainland via boat. Very quiet and safe place. Quite a few restaurants to choose from and a couple of small convenience stores selling basic items. Very clean and great breakfast!

    It is one of the best places I have ever stayed. The owners are so friendly, the breakfast on the beach is unreal and the beach is so good you basically feel like you are on a private island. I could not recommend this place more, it fully exceeded our expectations!

    The most beautiful location with the kindest family. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and this continued throughout our trip. The hosts are willing to go above and beyond at all times and have the warmest smiles every day.     Beautiful room and views! Couldn’t believe how clean it was considering the Pousada is right on the beach. Lovely breakfast that you can place your order for the night before and they will either bring it to you room or set it up on the beach for you. Gabriel and his family were all so lovely and helpful, there was a bit of a language barrier but they organised a brilliant boat trip around the island which I’d highly recommend doing

    We had such an amazing time in Belas Águas! The location is perfect - right on the beach where you can swim, snorkel and kayak. The breakfast every day was the best we’ve had. And the family running the Pousada were so lovely and caring. They even gave us a present on our final night!

    Fantastic surroundings with view to the ocean. The family who runs is the Pousada is fantastic helpful and will do everything to make you feel comfortable. Also the breakfast which we chose to get on the beach is really good. Will definitely recommend!
