The owner, Sarah, was a very loving, caring person. She was always available to help and was happy to tell about the area. She is so special and a reason why I will definitely return there. The breakfast was a typical English breakfast - very rich. Sarah made sure I had a gluten-free diet because I'm gluten intolerant. Also cooked me lunch and we were twice having a BBQ. The room which I had, had pretty much everything you needed, like a water cooker, dresser, TV, clothes stand, etc. and if anything was missing, Sarah made sure you were taken care of. The room looked very comfortable and the bed was one of the first beds besides my own where I could sleep without having back hurting. The bathroom was modern. The farm is beautiful, you even have access to rivers. The area is near the beach, near the hoad (that's what they call the light tower there), the prairie and the meditation center.

I booked a couple of nights at The Ship to take some time out to myself and get away from my day to day routine. What a great little, local pub in a lovely, quiet area of the Lakes. I was made to feel like a local as soon as I arrived. I was introduced to staff, locals and was asked to join others in drinks, food and conversation. It was like being at my own local pub. So much so, that I was convinced to stay an additional night which was no bother to the owners/staff and was made to feel even more welcome. Great beers, lovely, home cooked food and a friendly, warm welcome. I couldn’t have asked for more. I’m already looking into when I can next visit.
