Nice, friendly staff and very professional. Everything was held clean, like the lobby, pool etc. The buffet was very good and huge. The beach was just a minute away. Of course a lovely view also.

Nice and attentive host. He was very accommodating and flexible for our needs which made our stay so much more enjoyable. The rooms were clean, air-conditioning worked, and the shower was hot. The apartment was a decent size and the location was great. It's in a quiet street less than 5mins walk to the beach and about 10mins to the station.

Beautiful property, very well designed with lots of green space and individual separated rooms for maximum privacy. Aesthetically pleasing design for rooms with well kept and clean interior. Location is superb as well, nice clean beach on the front and beautiful backwater lake on the back and is walking distance from mangroves canoe ride activity. Very serene and peaceful. The owner Prashanth is an amazing host and a great guy, gave us a free upgrade and went above and beyond in his hospitality. A great place to vacation.

The wellcoming from Sajeev and Vijayan was fantastic. We had access to all of the amenities in the house and they provided us with great advice to really enjoy our stay in Varkala. Sharing breakfast with them was great time to talk and learn a bit more about the place and ways to reach our next destination. The level of service was outstanding and they really cared for us during our stay in Madhav Mansion. We would highly recommend it! The location is perfect for families. Odayam beach is a short walk and is quieter and cleaner than Varkala beach. Some days we had the entire beach to ourselves. We won’t ever forget surfing and swimming as the sun sets. Beautiful.

We really enjoyed our stay in Yog hostel It's a new hostel from looking at the place Rooms are very clean comfortable bed and two pillows each which is rare for india. The guys who work in the hostel are so polite, I'm sorry I've forgotten his name the young man with his white cute dog was always smiling, always asking how we were and if we were ok and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay at Flower Hill Cottage. The room exceeded our expectations, with a super comfortable bed, a fantastic bathroom featuring a double shower and rainwater head, and excellent water pressure. There were even many options for lighting the room from led strips, spotlights and lamps. There was plenty of storage for clothes and toiletries, and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the beach from our balcony, though the heat kept us from spending too much time out there. The air conditioning was much appreciated. Our host, Abhilash, ensured we had a hearty breakfast and everything we needed. The staff on the grounds were also very friendly and accomodating. The newly renovated cottage is located a little further from the shops and restaurants, making it wonderfully quiet, yet a short 10-minute walk along the coastline takes you to many cafes, restaurants, and gift shops. We had a great stay and wished we could have stayed longer—next time! :)

Tiny Temple is a rare gem set back from a quiet section of 'the strip' close to Black Beach. Swati, the host, couldn't be sweeter. He was really helpful and made us feel completely at home. The location and view from the rooftop/deck is unbeatable and the price was totally reasonable (we were there just before 'high' season). New Wifi is being installed which will be the cherry on top! Another perk was the fine folks at Elina's Clifftop Restraunt (next door) who were really accommodating and even offered room/rooftop service. My daughter and I took a risk on a spot without reviews and in this case we're so glad we did. Can't recommend it highly enough.
