If you do one thing during your stay in Guatemala it should be staying here. We had the most fantastic stay. Gerson and his wife are so kind and their son Abu is adorable, he even taught me some Spanish. The location is fabulous and so quiet and the rooms are so comfortable. The views are breathtaking and the showers/toilets are always spotless. You can rent water bikes from the family and Gerson is always there to give advice or call you a tuktuk. There’s even an eco sauna! It was the best part of our 2 week stay in Guatemala, we can’t wait to come back!

We stayed here over Christmas and had an amazing experience! The family included us and it was very nice to stay with other people in good atmosphere. Can definitely recommend it. It’s a little outside of the tourist part of San Pedro but close to the local market

Also there are spa treatments like sauna, massages, hot tubs and swimming stops. The breakfast and dinner is very delicious and the staff is super friendly.

Atitlan Sunset Lodge Apartments are located on the shores of Lake Atitlan in Santa Cruz La Laguna and boast excellent volcano views. Free Wi-Fi and kayak use are provided at this property. Beautiful views, and a very calm and relaxed place to enjoy Lake Atitlan from. Easy to catch public boats to explore the rest of the lake during the day, but also a very comfortable place to sit sunbathing or Strom watching. The apartment was spacious and clean, and the staff were very helpful staff. The on site vegan restaurant was also very nice.

We had a great stay here. Hosts were very friendly and courteous and always available for our questions. The bed was very comfy. Wifi was super strong, there was hot water and a fan for ventilation as our room didn't have a window that opened so it did get hot. The kitchen had everything you needed in it too. Located in the middle of the small Santa Cruz town.

Just a 5–10 minutes walk along a narrow path to the San Pablo dock. The views are absolutely stunning, sunrise and volcanoes right from the cabin. I ended up extending my stay. Nicholas was super kind, helpful and responsive.

I stayed for a week and really enjoyed having an apartment to myself. Check in was easy, and the host sent detailed instructions for locating the apartment before I arrived. The location is great, and there are restaurants and plenty of shops nearby; and the central fruit/vegetable market is in walking distance (the blender in the kitchen was great for making fruit smoothies!) There was fantastic communication with the host, and having a desk to write at allowed me to spend time working on creative projects in beautiful San Pedro.

I like staying with the little family, they had cute chickens and a rooster. I love the view from their house. I had a private balcony in a private apartment with shower, bathroom and dressing room; bed with bug net and a bunch of windows to see the lake outside and volcanoes.
