He helps us to do laundry, find a taxi to arrive and to leave Bukit Lawang. We visited the bat cave, the market on Friday and the recycling factory near the homestay. The room was comfortable, the bed was very big and comfortable too, with a mosquito net. You can swim every day in the river just in front of the guesthouse with a lot of local kids. There is a restaurant in the homestay or around. You can ask what you need to Alek, he knows every body in Bukit Lawang;-) Thank you Alek for your welcoming.

Rooms are equipped with a balcony with garden views and free WiFi. The bungalow was on the water with hammock and air conditioning. The restaurant next door was fabulous and inexpensive. Rented snorkel gear and arranged boats. Had motor bikes. Everything was so reasonable. Loved our stay for 3 nights. We feel so relaxed. People are so nice. Snorkeling directly off their dock or across the water at rubia was amazing. Lots of divers going out. We are not divers

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. We had an amazing time at Orangutan Bungalow! Staff were so helpful. We did the 3 day trek through them which was incredible. We also saw some orangutans on the property and from our balcony.

If you want to have a good time and SEE ORANGUTANS this is the place, the team (we had two guides) knows the place like the palm of their hand, they split and search, thus, 2x chance to see orangs!! I consider this an unbeatable technique. While on our tour, we met some people that told us they saw 2 orangs in 2 days, a couple that saw 1 in their whole tour, we saw 8 orangs in just 6 hours or so!! first we saw a teen orang that started following us from the tree tops, then we crossed paths with a mama orang and her baby orang, then a single male adult, then a couple male-female, one more young adult and, THIS IS THE BEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME IN A LONG TIME, we were tubing back down the river to the guest house and we saw this HUGE orang, it looked almost 2m and like +200lbs Breakfast was good, super good KopiSusu, omelette, banana pancakes, everything was delicious!

The lodge offers an Asian or halal breakfast. I stayed here after a trip in the jungle and I couldn’t have asked for better. Quiet, calm, lovely. Comfortable bed, good AC, excellent water pressure in the shower. The staff was incredibly friendly and the room was beautiful.
