Palatupana Beach is 200 metres from O2 Villas Yala, while Tissa Wewa is 17 km from the property. Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport is 44 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. O2 villas was a fantastic property, well maintained and beautifully built with nature and concrete blending together to give a magical atmosphere. Staff were extremely courteous and made you feel at home from the start. Food was sumptuous and fresh, very tasty and in large portions that we were so full and they provided freshly made juice and fruits that we have throughout the day. Rooms were spotless and having just a couple of villas in the property made the service very personal. Staff would play wiht my kids, take us on buggy rides where we saw so many animals, visited the dunes with us and stayed till sunset. Basically any wish gets fulfilled. Madhwa and staff were great hosts and I am very glad to have stayed 3 nights. There was enough to keep us entertained. I only regret not staying at other o2 properties in our Sri Lanka trip.

Wild Coast Tented Lodge - Relais and Chateaux - All Inclusive is adjacent to the famous Yala National Park, renowned for its dense leopard population. This luxury tented camp is situated where the jungle meets a pristine beach, overlooking the blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Our whole stay at Wild Coast was magical. We came to celebrate our honeymoon and there could have been no better place. The concept is incredible - a luxurious experience while nestled amidst nature. Staff is incredible and take very good care of you. Food and drinks are incredible. We stayed 2 nights and would have loved to have stayed for longer. Game drives were amazing. We had a spectacular dinner on the beach under the stars. Every minor detail is so carefully and meticulously planned. Wild coast has been a major highlight from travels over the last 15 years.

A good location for a stress-free stay in Kirinda, Beach Bungalow Yala is a campground surrounded by views of the garden. The property features a private beach area, garden and parking on-site among other facilities. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and full-day security, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. - the staff: very friendly, approachable, and helpful. It felt like we were staying at friends. They always looked after our every need, prepared our breakfast at 5 in the morning before we went on a safari trip, and gave us coconuts and mango's free of charge while we were staying on the beach which is right in front of the house - the location: deep inside Kirinda, a perfect nature retreat with absolutely no outside world interference. A beautiful garden adorned with decorations. Acces to a wild, wide beach with the most amazing waves ever. - breakfast was very good. We ate the best mango ever, from one of the staff's personal little gardens. Bonus: they have a special custom - every guest can write something on their walls - we did too.

Amazing place lost from everywhere. It’s so peaceful, nice beach 1 beside, and they cook the food, super yummy. The family is super kind, and offered me to sleep at the terrace cause elephants come to eat during the night and I saw one!

Treasure Rock, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Kirinda, a few steps from Nidangala Beach, 15 km from Tissa Wewa, as well as 24 km from Bundala Bird Sanctuary. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. I did not stay here while in Kirinda due to limited space (the owner and I connected on Whatsapp and he helped in finding me another property nearby) but most of the people in my group did. I wanted to write a review based on my experience with the property and the communication with the host when they realized that they were double booked. We had dinner for 16 there and it was amazing. The Host family is great and the property is in an amazing location. My friends that stayed there loved it. It’s a little bit more expensive than some of the other options but from what I could see it’s worth it!

We took a quick R&R trip to Sri Lanka and spent 3 nights at a tea estate in Nuwara Eliya before heading to Uga Chena for another 3 nights. While the 5-star tea estate was lovely, we found ourselves wishing we had spent all 6 days at Uga Chena—it was that fantastic! -------- Location: 10/10 Uga Chena offers the best of both worlds: a beautiful beach and proximity to a wildlife sanctuary. What more could you ask for? Accommodation: 10/10 The hotel is stunning with big beautiful well appointed rooms, the bed linens used are of high quality. With your full package, the rooms are always well stocked and have everything you'll need to have a comfortable stay. Every time we came back from breakfast, lunch and dinner - our rooms would have been made up! We never had to tell the reception even once that we need house-keeping! As soon as we'd step out of our rooms, it would seem that magically, little elves would go and tidy up your rooms! So that when you got back, you'd have cool, clean and refreshed rooms! Management: 10/10 Not just the rooms though, be it the bar area, dining areas, beach and sundowner areas or even be it the walkaways to your room - all are cleaned and raked and well maintained - but never so that you feel you're in an artificially manicured place. It's all natural and beautiful! This property is extremely well-managed and maintained. Food: 10/10 Chef Nuwan was so good - not only was our dining experience fantastic but Chef was so gracious and accommodating! You could ask for something that's off the menu and he'd whip it out for you! Everything from breakfast, to lunch, sundowners and dinners - all were fantastic! Staff: 11/10!!! Staff made this place so much more special! They were just fantastic! It sounds impossible, but not one staff member gave us a reason to complain! Everyone was so polite, friendly and efficient! No matter your ask, they catered to it, and that too always with a smile!

Everything was perfect! The staff was amazing, including Greya the in-house parrot. A hidden-gem, an jungle oasis of nature with a pool in the beachfront. Food was delicious, room super clean, spacious and well decorated. Loved it!
