This hostel is definitely one of the best I've tried in a year in New Zealand! The atmosphere there is great. The staff is incredible, they put a lot of effort in the cleaning which makes the hostel super comfortable to live in. My room was big (dorm of 4), though the 2-beds dorms are quite small though. All of them have windows. Showers are huge with high pressure. It's on top of a beautiful hill, next to the most beautiful beach on the island... If you wanna play it chill for a few days, this is the hostel for you!

Jules and Bruce were very welcoming and hospitable. Great to be picked up from the ferry and they were happy to run us around locally if required. Really helpful suggestions on where to go to see and eat and walks etc. Very comfortable room with everything you need for breakfast but no kitchen per se. Nice touch to have milk and a bottle of fizz in the fridge.

Absolutely outstanding accommodation. Clean, comfortable, & a warm welcome. This property is like a small boutique hotel ( separate from private residence) they have thought of absolutely everything. Welcome drinks and snacks in fridge. Extra towels, plenty of pillows, kitchen had everything you would need. The concept, design and execution of these studios was extraordinary. One ground level, the second raised up so both units have private, beautiful green scenery. Nice deck w roll out cover, bbq grill provided on your deck. Guest washing machine. High quality linens, toiletries, kitchen items. I can’t recommend this property enough, if you are lucky enough that it’s available, book it!

Felt like home away from home and you can tell that the hosts care about your stay and are more than willing to help out if need be.

This is a sunny, warm two bedroom cottage, in a central location - an easy 5 minute walk from the centre of Oneroa village. Rooms are light and bright, and the bathroom is fairly new and immaculately clean (as is the whole cottage). There is a heatpump for cooler days and good airflow with open wndows for hotter days. The cottage has a good deck for evening use during summer stays and a garden area in the front which is surprisingly private. The road itself is quiet and the whole experience is restful. The road is close to AT bus routes, so getting around without a car is pretty straightforward - it is a short run from the ferry terminal on the main bus route, for example. Decent sized fridge/freezer and a microwave in the kitchen. No oven but there is a portable double element unit in the cupboard for cooking with.
